Triggers

The Triggers window displays your Trigger Watchlist and Named Trigger Watchlist. Triggers are significant business events, such as management changes, mergers and acquisitions, or stock splits. Your Trigger Watchlist displays trigger results for the companies and executives you are interested in.

Named triggers are custom triggers that you can set up to monitor specific companies, executives, industries, or geographical regions.

You can create or modify your Trigger Watchlist and Named Trigger Watchlist by clicking the Preferences tab and selecting Trigger Watchlist from the Watchlist menu. You can use the Industry Watchlist and Location Watchlist to filter your trigger results by industry or geographical region.

To open the Triggers window, click the Triggers tab in the g2 window.

To view trigger results, click a number in one of the following columns in the Trigger Dashboard or Named Trigger Dashboard:

CURRENT is the number of results in the past 48 hours.
LAST WEEK is the number of results in the past week.
LAST MONTH is the number of results in the past month.

The Named Trigger Dashboard displays results for your named triggers. To view the results for a named trigger, click the name of the trigger.

Trigger Search

You can also search for trigger results without creating a trigger watchlist, by entering the trigger conditions in the fields at the top of the Triggers window. For example, to search for all mergers and acquisitions in New York State:

Select Merger/Acquisition in the Trigger drop-down list.
Select New York in the Select Region drop-down list.
Click SEARCH.

The results are displayed in the SEARCH RESULTS pane.
